Big 12 bound?

A big shakeout is definitely coming. There may not be enough votes to toss schools out (some conference by-laws require a 3/4 majority). What they'll do instead is to establish requirements, etc., that some schools will find totally intolerable and ask to quit the conference. The bluebloods will be more than happy to release them from the terms of any GoR just to have them leave.
Might depend on who’s driving the bus: the Conferences or the Networks who are paying for a prescribed number of teams.

Agree 100%, I would be worried if I was Rutgers and Vanderbilt.

Our choices are probably Big 12, diminished ACC, or some other lower conf that has football. A more logical geographic realignment would be possible if not for the SEC and Big X.

They'll pick replacements. WVU has shown they're willing to go to Texas and Oklahoma for games, so going to B1G or SEC country can be a savings on travel.

Or get together with similarly frustrated schools to create a new conference.

When HCFB brings home back-to-back natties, I'm pretty sure we'll have a seat at the Big Boy Table™

;)
WSU and OSU say hello. They were both ranked.

Yes the blue balls conference. Partnerships or friendships borne out of common misery never end well.

Playing a national power every week won't end well, either. It's best to seek your own level with like-mined schools.

Did you watch, I mean really watch the spring game? This team can beat any team in the country.

This has such Rutgers Al vibes
We have a Heisman trophy level QB. The talent upgrades everywhere are incredible. Fran has brought in a whole group of guys who are bigger, faster and better, real high level P5 athletes. LaQuint and Willis will pound the hell out of opponents defenses. The strength and conditioning alone is eye popping.

Or, give into FSU and Clemson. Let teams that bring home bowl revenue take a larger cut.

I'd agree and have no issue with this if the conference was sustainable and a viable one in the future, however, it's not and is surely a doomed one. It's just a matter of time and the 'Doomsday Clock' is significantly more ominous than 90 seconds to midnight.

We are better. But schools like Ga and Alabama and Mich and Ohio St. have #1 picks all over the field. We don't. Who is going in the first round from our team? The way Fran is going, and if he is still here in 4 years, we might be there. Not now.

This team is locked and loaded! Everywhere.

Imagine us in the multi-verse of the two super-conferences. We're in the Big 10 and our schedule says we're going to play Penn State this week, Ohio State next week, then Michigan, then Michigan State then Notre Dame, Iowa, Wisconsin and Nebraska. Every year. Remember that this isn't the level we've traditionally been at. It's a new level being created above that.

Now imagine that we get together with the 'left behinds and create a 12 team conference of Syracuse, Army, Navy, Boston College, Connecticut, Rutgers, Temple, Pittsburgh, Maryland, Virginia and Virginia Tech. And the top teams in that conference could compete for a national championship against similar teams from similar conferences.

Where would we have more fun?

We will be better than we've been but not on the level of those teams.

They will score a lot of points. McCord is a top flight QB and he has no end of targets. None of those teams you cited would want to play in the dome. They would take an L.
