TiVo and cable problems

Has anyone else had problems getting TiVo to work with digital cable? Charter has come out several times, got it to work, and then a few days (sometimes hours) later I can only get the lower numbered channels - no premium channels.

Every time they come back, I get their sales pitch that I should just get their DVR.

Do you use a cable card in your TiVo? If so, they may be resetting your devices and dropping the cable cards by accident. The cards are different from set top boxes and require special handling when being reset. This has happened a couple of times to me.

yes, I have a cable card. They can't seem to get it to work for more than a few days.
