HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Jayden Loftin set four official visits, at least one more is in the works and a pair of schools are in contact about a possible offer that could lead to more trips.

As the Somerville (N.J.) High edge sorts through one of the final phases of his recruitment, he is also contemplating the right time for a decision with Penn State, Tennessee, Minnesota, Syracuse and Wisconsin strongly in the mix and Michigan State and Ohio State showing strong interest.

Looks like he's OV'ing to SU June 14-16th. 247 lists that weekend as his Nebraska OV. Oh well. Nothing personal, Tony.
Kind of sad to see Nebraska's once unassailable fortune's sink so low. Their entire state is engaged with the team and NU is now occasionally good, consistently mediocre. The fan base is rabid and bruised. They've had 87K-ish sellouts for 396 consecutive games. Heck they got 62K for their spring game.

And now they're a diluted product in the Big Ten (18 now) because they wanted a little more B10 $ where the comp was stiffer. And they can't recruit in the east anymore like they used to. They'd routinely pull guys out of NJ and PA. They have no close-in recruiting grounds and it shows. Maybe they'll resurrect with NIL and Rhule. I'm dubious though. Irrespective of $ motivation, who wants to go to Nebraska?

I do miss some of the OU, UT and Nebraska sloberknockers

In addition to losing their recruiting edge in NJ (never understood that), they also lost recruiting in Texas by moving conferences.
